Clippers 2023 roster11/27/2023 ![]() They will need another big after giving up Zubac to the Suns, but they also get James Harden, who has been rumored to have a liken to join Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook. The Clippers are getting James Harden and Mike Muscala in this deal. They are giving up Ayton’s three-year $32 million deal, so the money also works in this deal.Īs far as the other teams, they are getting what they need to. Jones is on a one-year, $14 million deal, Zubac is on a two-year, $10.9 million deal, and Gallinari is on a one-year, $6.8 million deal. ![]() This trade would give the Suns the point guard they need, a guy who can start or play off the bench in Tyus Jones, their big man replacement after giving up Ayton, and another depth piece with Gallinari, who can score at a very efficient clip, and that’s what they need on their bench, among just about every other team in the league. The Suns will receive point guard Tyus Jones from the Wizards, Ivicia Zubac from the Clippers, and Danilo Gallinari from the Wizards. In this four-team trade between the Suns, Clippers, Wizards, and Sixers, the Suns will give up Deandre Ayton and a 2028 second-round pick because, let’s face it, they don’t have many picks to give up. ![]() Let’s start with what the Suns would get and what they are giving up. You could call this a blockbuster trade, too. All of these teams would get exactly what they need, including the suns. There is a trade that could work very well for several different teams. They need a guy who can create plays for others and be a guy who can take pressure off of the stars.Ī trade can do that. The Suns also need a point guard and a true one at that. Sure, some of the guys they have on the team on the bench are good. The Suns have plenty of things they can improve on, too, and making some moves, whether it be free agency, they’d have to make room for that signing or even a trade could be made. ![]() While we are still 24 days away from the first preseason game of the season for the Phoenix Suns, there is still plenty of time to improve their roster. We are still at the offseason stage where no team is perfect, and everyone can improve, even the Denver Nuggets, who just won the NBA Finals. Then again, every roster in the league has issues, and only some are perfect. Understandably those comments resulted in a $100k fine from the league after it deemed his words as “indicating that he would not perform the services called for under his player contract unless traded to another team. While the Phoenix Suns now have one of the best starting lineups in the entire league after the trade for star guard Bradley Beal, but the roster still has some issues, like not knowing who the fifth starter is. Days later Harden reiterated his stance that the relationship between him and the Sixers was beyond repair, and moreover that he had no intention of training with the team. Let me say that again: Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.” Darryl Morey is of course the 76ers’ President of Basketball Operations i.e., that’s a problem. While on a tour of China, Harden spoke with fans during a public appearance, and in a video clip of his comments which has since gone viral, he declared in no uncertain terms that “Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of. With talks between the two teams seemingly dragging out, Harden dropped a bomb on the league. What followed were a number of reports about possible trade destinations which included the New York Knicks, but finally settled on the Clippers as his ideal destination. For context, it was back in late June when Harden decided to exercise his $35.6 million option. Undoubtedly, this news places Haden in a peculiar position. We’re gonna move on.’ And while I assume that they could certainly make a deal midseason, I assume that this is what they’re gonna go with.” So, what does this mean for James Harden? “And from what I understand, it was the Clippers who said, ‘Okay, there’s no deal here. “ tried to trade for James Harden, and that deal didn’t happen,” Windhorst said on the podcast with ESPN’s Bobby Marks and Ohm Youngmisuk. The Clippers have ended James Harden trade talks, per Brian Windhorst /YBIwHcV2D6- NBACentral September 17, 2023
